In Mandarin in G1 we are learning to:
Learning the basic words about the feelings is not that hard. As you may have discovered, the word 不bù means “no”, or “not”, while the word 很hěn means “very”. In details, the words and sentences about feelings are:
感觉 gǎn jué (feeling)
高兴 gāo xìng (happy)
不高兴 bù gāo xìng (unhappy)
我很高兴。 Wǒ hěn gāo xìng. (I am very happy.)
她不高兴。 Tā bù gāo xìng. (She is not happy.)
伤心 shāng xīn (sad)
生气 shēng qì (angry)
害怕 hài pà (scared)
你怎么了? Nǐ zěn me le? (What happened to you?)
我累了。 Wǒ lèi le. ( I am tired.)
I have made a set of cards on Quizlet (quizlet.com or download the app for phone or ipad) to help your child practice learning the feelings.
Search for laoshilinda (all one word lower case) and then choose feelings.
The video here explains how to use Quizlet https://vimeo.com/113241642
You do not need to know any Mandarin yourself to use any of these resources.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
