I have made a set of cards on Quizlet (quizlet.com or download the app for phone or ipad) to help your child practice learning the names of the fruit.
Search for laoshilinda (all one word lower case) and then choose fruit.
The video here explains how to use Quizlet https://vimeo.com/113241642
If your child can already say the names of food then:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/primarylanguages/mandarin/food_and_drink/healthy_food/
will give some ideas on how to extend their vocabulary.
You do not need to know any Mandarin yourself to use any of these resources.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
