Learning about price in Mandarin is not too difficult. In speaking, we use 块kuài after the number as “dollor”. In details, the words of money are:
钱 qián (money)
多少钱？ duō shǎo qián? (How much does it cost?)
一块 yí kuài (1 dollar)
两块 liǎng kuài (2 dollars)
三块 sān kuài (3 dollars)
五块 wǔ kuài (5 dollars)
十块 shí kuài (10 dollars)
十一块 shí yī kuài (11 dollars)
一百块 yì bǎi kuài (100 dollars)
一块五 yí kuài wǔ (1 dollar and 50 cents)
I have made a set of cards on Quizlet (quizlet.com or download the app for phone or ipad) to help your child practice learning the this topic.
Search for laoshilinda (all one word lower case) and then choose money.
The video here explains how to use Quizlet https://vimeo.com/113241642
You do not need to know any Mandarin yourself to use any of these resources.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
